In 2001, Yves launched his first brand, 2bfree. The label quickly became part of the early 2000s Los Angeles fashion scene, known for its confident, effortless energy. At the height of that moment, Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian walked in his runway shows — a reflection of the cultural movement happening in LA at the time, where fashion, nightlife, and celebrity were shaping a new kind of style.

Over decades spent inside the industry, Yves saw how much of fashion had shifted toward fast trends and mass production — moving further away from quality, authenticity, and the artistry that first drew him to design.
